The Rose for Life is displayed (at the back left of the church before the statue of Mary) to remind all of us at Holy Cross of the sanctity and value of human life, and to raise our individual and community consciousness concerning the many human life issues in our world society today. These include the termination of life issues of abortion, genocide, capital punishment, and euthanasia, as well as other human life issues such as the care and dignity of the elderly and the dying, and of children and families in poverty and/or with inadequate healthcare; also, new science and technology moral ground in the area of genetic research and experimentation. Your commitment in signing up for the Rose for Life your week is to replace the rose before the 4:30 pm Mass on Saturday, and then during the following week, to give your special attention, thought and prayers to human life issues. A sign up book is available on the table at the main church entrance (vestibule) for those who would like to participate. Please include your phone number and address.
